Affiliate Disclosure
The short version
Some links on this site go to ticket partners. If you book Park Güell tickets through one of them, we receive a commission from that partner. It does not change what you pay on their site, and it does not decide what we write about them.
You pay the same either way. The commission comes out of the partner's margin, not out of your pocket. There is no surcharge, no markup, and no version of the price that is cheaper if you avoid our links.
Who we work with
Tiqets - Tiqets International B.V., registered in Amsterdam. A ticket booking platform selling Park Güell entry bundled with audio guides, guided tours, and combinations with other Barcelona attractions.
If we add partners, they get listed here. Links to partners carry rel="nofollow sponsored" markup, which is the technical way of declaring a commercial relationship to search engines.
What commission does not buy
It does not buy a recommendation. Partners have no say in what we write, how we rank options, or whether we suggest their product at all.
It does not stop us pointing you elsewhere. parkguell.barcelona is the park's own sales channel and we name it on every relevant page, including as the answer to "what is the official site". We earn nothing when you use it. It is still the right answer for a lot of readers and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
It does not stop us telling you not to buy. Several pages on this site actively advise against purchasing a ticket - if you mainly want the panorama, if you have been before, if you have less than 90 minutes. The free part of Park Güell is genuinely good and we would rather say so than sell you something you will regret. We earn zero on that advice.
It does not make us repeat a partner's marketing. One example, for the sake of being concrete: Tiqets' own pages suggest that tour operators hold reserved ticket blocks, making a guided tour a way in when standard tickets are gone. We found that directly contradicted by Barcelona-based sources and could not substantiate it, so it does not appear on this site - even though repeating it would probably sell more tours. The same goes for their published opening hours, which do not match the operator's seasonal calendar. We use the operator's.
Where the links appear
Near the booking guidance on the money pages, and in the call-to-action blocks. Every page carrying an affiliate link says so on the page itself, not only here.
You will not find affiliate links disguised as editorial text, and we do not use links that hide where they are going.
Why we do it this way
Affiliate revenue is what pays for the research. The alternative models are worse: advertising pushes you towards whatever pays most per impression, and a paywall on practical travel information is a bad idea.
The trade-off is a real one and we are not going to pretend it does not exist. A site that earns commission on bookings has a structural interest in you booking. Our answer is to be explicit about where that interest lies, to publish the advice that costs us money when the advice is right, and to cite primary sources so you can check us.
