About Us
What this Park Güell guide is
An independent guide to visiting Park Güell in Barcelona: tickets and rates, opening hours, the Monumental Zone and the free part of the park. We are not the park, we are not connected to it, and we do not sell tickets. What we do is read the operator's own pages and terms, check them against what visitors report, and write down what we find.
The site is published by Travel Ticket Box, a small network of independent attraction guides built on one principle: read the operator's own pages, publish what they actually say, and put a date on every figure.
We started this because the information available on Park Güell is unusually bad for a site that takes millions of visitors. Prices published years out of date and never corrected. Advice to arrive at sunrise, when the park is closed to visitors until 09:30. Tour prices quoted as a single number when the real cost is two numbers added together. Not malice, mostly - just nobody going back to the source.
So that is what we do. We read the operator's own pages, the Ajuntament de Barcelona's records, and the partner product terms, and we write down what they actually say, with the date we checked.
Our editorial approach
Primary sources first. Prices, opening hours and access rules come from parkguell.barcelona and from Barcelona City Council publications, never from other guides. Where we use a partner's product information, we say so.
Everything carries a date. Every price and every opening time on this site has a verification date attached. Prices change and pages go stale - we would rather you know how old the number is than trust it blindly.
We label uncertainty. Where sources disagree, we say they disagree instead of picking one and sounding confident. Travel times between Park Güell and Sagrada Família, for instance, are published anywhere between 15 and 45 minutes by different guides. We give you the range and the reason.
We leave things out. Where a widely repeated claim will not stand up, it does not go on the page. Tiqets' own pages suggest tour operators hold reserved ticket blocks, which would make a guided tour a way in once standard tickets are gone. We could not substantiate that against Barcelona sources, so it is not here - even though repeating it would sell more tours.
We tell you when not to buy. Repeat visitors, people who mainly want the view, anyone with under 90 minutes: the free zone serves you better than an 18 EUR ticket does. We say so on the relevant pages, even though we earn nothing when you take that advice.
We review periodically, and sooner when the operator changes something.
How we make money
Affiliate commission. When you book through a partner link on this site, we receive a percentage from the partner.
It does not change your price. It does not influence what we recommend, and where the official channel is the better option for a given reader, we say so. Full detail on the affiliate disclosure page.
Who writes this Park Güell guide
Alesia writes the practical planning guidance across the site - time budgets, slot selection, and the sequencing problems that come with timed-entry attractions. The Pro Tip blocks on every page are hers. Her focus is the gap between what an attraction publishes and what a visitor actually needs to know to get through the day without losing a ticket.
Victoria handles research and verification. She checks prices and access rules against primary sources, tracks what changes between reviews, and is the reason claims we cannot substantiate do not make it onto the page.
